This is a small oil painting I did many years ago for a housewarming gift for my friends in
Fountain Hills, Arizona. I asked them to take a photo of it so I could add it to my journal of paintings. Given the odd angle, I think she must have placed it on her table to take the photo.

In this case, Marilyn,(because of the subject matter and your skill of painting) it really looks like that sandwich is sitting on a table, ready to be slapped shut and eaten!!! Yum!!! Beautiful job! Karen Trask
Watercolors became my focus after my studies at Scottsdale Artist's School in recent years. I enjoy painting figurative watercolors from photographs. I call myself an intuitive painter meaning I paint what 'feels' right about my subject. My favorite subjects are musicians. I expecially enjoy bringing vintage photographs to life from my palette of colors. My work is not limited to portraiture; still life, flowers and landscapes find their way to my easel. Since moving to San Antonio I have done some oil painting, a departure from watercolor techniques. I am a member of San Antonio Watercolor Group (SAWG) and Coppini Academy of Fine Art.
