This is unusual subject for me. The 7x22 size makes it a dramatic painting. Someone said there should be a poem to go with this painting. Any poets out there?

This young man left this world abrubtly in the prime of life. His parents requested this painting as a memorial to their beloved son, Dean.

Ida

I used a vintage photograph of my Mother as a young girl for this painting. The reference photo was sepia tone and I added the color, surrounding Mother in blue, her favorite color. Her parents came from Sweden and settled in Irwin, Pennsylvania. Ida Mae Eckberg was the youngest of six children. Isn't she sweet?
